"Well of course, you had priorities," Faith nodded with an amused smirk.
Only he could look at her like that and make her feel about thirteen years old again. Simultaneously embarrassed, a little ashamed and pleased that someone was making a fuss. Still, she let him guide her towards the front of the store with a fond smile.
"Ok, ok, you twisted my arm and ice cream it is. I'm sure there's something healthy in it somewhere."
She grinned at the girl behind the counter before almost bouncing. "Chocolate deluxe please."
It was weird, but it was only with the Mayor that she said 'please' and 'thank you' quite like that. Not 'cheers' and thanks'. Watching her manners so he'd be proud of her.
