He snickered. "It could be like your calling card. I think people would be impressed. At least I would." He met Lindsey's glance with his own, an amused mirth in his dark eyes.
Jack had never been to a church, he wasn't about to start going either because of these pits. He didn't believe in God, or miracles. At least not willingly. Not even after talking to God herself on the boards. If there were such a thing he wouldn't have lived on the streets until he became a ranger. There wouldn't be this kind of suffering to begin with. So he was a skeptic. A tempted skeptic, but one none the less.
"We always seem to meet like this." Jack looked up at Lindsey and offered him a small smile. "You just appear whenever I end up lost. It's just funny."
