"If the next suggestion out of you is yodeling, drastic action will be taken," he replied dryly, pulling his gaze away from the crowds to glance over at Jack. It wasn't something that was bound to change anytime soon. He preferred it when people didn't see him coming.
The cries from the pit reminded him of the few occassions when Gramma McDonald came to visit and would drag him and his siblings off to this church. It'd been inside of a tent and the pastor whipped his flock into such a frenzy, he'd never been able to get a decent wink of sleep during the entire service. Thankfully, that had been a rare event.
"It can. But nothing happens without consequence. You could write it off that insanity is the consequence or losing part of yourself." He frowned in thought, eyeing the people nearby. "Don't bring people back. It just makes life more miserable for everyone involved."
