"Special," Faith echoed with a faint smile. "There are times I would give anything to be not special."
Occasional times. Because she understood what Selene meant about the drums of war. She felt that deep, almost primal need for the hunt. If she went too long without Slaying she could crave it. Crave the fight and the kill. It was what she was born to do.
"Soldiers," she nodded with a dark smile. "Outnumbered and outgunned and that's just the way I like it." Living in the trenches, that was her. And she suspected Selene as well.
She looked sharply at the vampire at her idea, one of her own growing in her mind.
"Right now they're in Tokyo. But we're trying to tempt them over here with talk of shiny things here in LA. But once they're here we'll need to know what they've got. They've got some tricks I've never heard of before." She offered a sideways smirk. "Why, you offering to be spy gal for us?"
She held out the bottle of whiskey in one hand. "Feel free." She glanced down at her arm. "Or, y'know, if you fancy some from the vein I don't mind."
