Faith ground out the cigarette before looking at Buffy, understanding a lot of where she was coming from.
"I don't know who you've spoken to about this stuff, but for me it hasn't been the guys at the Hyperion, it's been these other groups. The Justice League, the Power Rangers. Don't get me wrong, I like them well enough, would grab a drink with them any time, but the way they talk about the fight grates sometimes."
It kept coming back to that same damn question. To kill or not to kill.
"Killing isn't wrong," she said abruptly before amending the statement. "Ok, killing the way I used to was wrong, but taking out a bad guy, going for the kill? That aint wrong. And sometimes they rant at us like we're the monsters because we're not prepared to sit back and take the gentle approach when it's our people getting killed out there. If they don't want to be the ones to take the life, then fine, I'm sure as hell not gonna force them. Just don't call me the monster for being prepared to kill to protect my people. It's unfair. And calling it the easy option? Where the hell do they get off saying that? They don't know what it's like to kill so they have no idea how easy or hard it is to do."
She paused to take a breath, raking her hands through her hair. That had been what had really gotten to her the most lately. The idea that she was a monster. Again. She'd been down that road before and now did everything she could to use that to help people. The idea that she was just taking some easy route ws hurtful.
"What worries you?" She turned her head to look at Buffy, wondering if it was along the same lines as she felt.
