"Just wondering," she took a bite of the sandwich and thought over how best to explain the mess that was her line of thinking at the moment that wouldn't have her coming off too pathetic. She shrugged a little and gave Heather a bit of a grin. "I miss my mom."
She started up with toying with the cap again as she spoke, fidgeting always helped with the forming thoughts into coherent sentences for her. "Before I got sent here I hadn't seen her in, god, like a year. There were just all these things that kept happening and it wasn't pretty and we sort of fell apart. I was on my way to go see her when I ended up here, I have no idea what she might think happened to me. It would just be nice to go see her, you know." Honestly there were days she felt a little like the orphan of all of them, it seemed like everyone had bits and pieces at least of their families here and she was just this leftover bit on her own.
