Once in the apartment she rummaged through the fridge and pulled out stuff to make sandwiches, setting it on the counter. "You want anything? I think there's crackers and stuff around if you don't want to attempt anything too fancy."
Jo started in on making herself a sandwich mulling over Heather's rather loaded question in such a casual disguise. She really didn't know how to even begin to discuss how she was handling things because truth was, she wasn't. But the reasons for it all were not hers to tell and the last thing she wanted was to play the part of the hurt ex girlfriend and only add more things for Dean to feel bad about to his ever growing pile. So she shrugged and gave her own non-committal answer. "They've been good. The world has threatened to end in a few weeks so life is looking up," she grinned at that last comment.
