"And haven't found anything to equal hypervodka either," Jack muttered under his breath. Though, if that Lavender girl was to be believed, this firewhiskey she spoke of could be the nextclosest thing. Jack tilted his head, gave a smile, and lifted his glass in silent toast. "I do what I can," he said in regards to the 'flatterer' comment.
"Can't say that my arrival was as exciting as yours. I've had worse jolts from this," he gestured to the wristcuff on his left wrist, "than being plucked out of obscurity and dropped in the middle of a city swarming with demons and the ilk." Jack leaned back in his seat, half wanting to rest a boot on the edge of the table but instead settled for the chair to his right. "Had saved Cardiff from yet another time implosion by the rift. One minute I was with my team giving instructions to Adam, the next I was here. Strange part is that those of my team who have come here already are from different points in time." Jack gave Dukat a winning smile. "Amazing what the Rift can do."
Amazing how much trouble the damn thing had caused.
