Katara, really, wasn't having as hard of a time with the sun being gone as the rest of the city seemed to be having. Oh, she wasn't happy with it, not by any means, but she wasn't quite struggling the way so many others were struggling. She was sleeping fine - not as much as she might need to sleep, but well enough when she did - and her appetite was perfectly normal. All-in-all, the waterbender was holding her own in this crisis without any real issues.
Except, of course, her frustration that the crisis wasn't over, already.
That was mostly the reason she was up so early, this morning. She had woken around five thirty wanting a drink of water and had ended up laying in bed instead of falling back asleep, her mind too busy going over idea after idea in the hopes of finding a solution. It was quickly reaching the point where failure seemed likely. Katara, however, refused to accept that fact. And when her clock finally said seven, she decided to give up on the idea of sleeping and go prove that failing sensation wrong.
Heading down to the lobby, long hair pulled partially up and away from her face in a sloppy up-sweep, the young woman stifled a yawn and gave Zuko a small smile as she spotted him sitting on the counter. "Good morning," she said and promptly moved to the large bookshelf in the corner. "Is there any coffee made?" she questioned as she plucked a tome from the shelves and carried it back to where Zuko was perched.
