"I know," she gave a smug look and laughed. "I quite like him. He's innocent, even with everything that's happened to him. And with his mouth." She laughed again, hitting one of the buttons with determination. "But he's fun and he's my friend. I want him safe. Things don't always work out amazingly for my Chosen, or those close to them."
Amazing, how improved Her mood became when She got her way (even if this had been more of a compromise, but then it behoved Her not to think of it like that). She looked every part the pleased eight year old.
Even when She finally missed and lost Her ball, She didn't look at all upset. "I'll talk to everyone else, let them know of my decisions. You can... tell your demon that for now, as unhappy as I might be about it, it's allowed. Still, I caution warning to you, because I would not see you or any of the others hurt by her actions." She meant it.
"You can go, but you'll hear from me soon," She said, grabbing tickets from the machine. "Count on it."
