She was right about that, at least. Ruby couldn't hide forever, especially not from him. Or God. If She really wanted her that badly, she'd have swept down and found her without hesitating. But it appeared that she was patient enough to let her soldiers do her work for her. Which meant that there were bigger things afoot. Things that she couldn't turn away from. Or maybe she just didn't feel like interfering personally. Uriel didn't like to question why too often. It was disobedient and wrong. And also probably why many people had difficulty getting along with him. Not that he minded it really. God loved him. He was Her creation. That was all that mattered.
Scowling at her remark, he shot her a sharp look and said, "Don't mock him." It was really insulting, having people go on about Him like that. Very rude. But he could see why Eve was so cross about everything. The demons were everywhere. And it was getting annoying. Very, very, very annoying.
"I'll gladly do the honors," he decided, hacking away at a few more of the demons himself, "but only after we take her head first."
