As they continued to advance, Mick fought back still, letting the vampires know that she wasn't going to be theirs, that he would protect her. As more swarmed in like sharks to the prey, some even creeping from behind the two, he saw that she wasn't joking when she warned him to step back. A bright light suddenly emitted, and even though that wasn't what had stunned Mick, it were the flames that soon came out afterward. He shielded his eyes and stepped back, perhaps a bit too far for a human to recline, but his disguise had already been seen through.
Worse came of his surprise when he saw that the flame ball hadn't completely destroyed the vampire, but only wounded it. Surely, that would've killed anything! Living or undead. But the gun in her hand assured everyone that not even they could withstand another attack and the bullet cleared the monster's head clean off.
She was not a force to mess with.
With the shock of the creatures death, some of them backed off, but those daring enough continued to come forward, their screaming growing louder by the second. Grabbing ahold of the nearest vampire, Mick took his arm, twisted it, causing the bones to shatter and forced the creature to tumble back into the pack. "Got any more of those?" He replied to her, noticing to her jacket and the balls of light, "I suggest you use it on them now."
Silly little city vampire, clearly he knew nothing of the wild things that lived in the forest.
