WHO: Gabriel Gray & Adam Monroe WHERE: St. Victor Catholic Church WHEN: January 8th; Morning; After Morning Mass WHAT: Adam has information. Gabriel wants information. It's an equal trade. At least, as far as Gabriel knows. RATING: PG [for now] STATUS: In Progress
Gabriel had left early. A quiet guilt about having lied to Peter, a friend, had gnawed at him like crazy the whole night before so he had left early enough to attend morning Mass. Several prayers, a few light candles, and a quiet reflection on hopes of his mother's safety and happiness after the services had ended, and Gabriel was left alone in the back row of pews as the last of the stranglers started to mill out into the morning sun. But Gabriel was content to sit and wait. He had a lot to think about, after all, and the hour between services would hopefully be long enough to satisfy the conversation that he and Adam had to have. Because that was all that he was going to give the man to satisfy his curiosity. He had been willing to give him as long as necessary the night before, but now... Now, his mind was more skeptical, his will not quite as strong. He'd wavered horribly as his thoughts had pounded against his confidence in the fact that this was the right decision.
Now, he wasn't so sure.
But there was no turning back now. As much as he might have been able to stand up and walk out that door, he didn't want to. Besides, he had to wait until after the next service for when they started taking confessions. He was almost a year behind.
