Once it was possible for people to move in the area, Eliot moved in to help those escorting the walking wounded and helping the nontrapped injured who couldn't towards the areas where medical staff were seeing to them. It didn't feel like much but with the mass chaos taking place in the wake of the disaster, it seemed better to be doing something then standing around watching.
One woman in particular refused to go with the paramedics, pushing against Eliot. She could barely stand, her knees buckling with every step, but her daughter was missing and she refused to stop looking. Once he gave her his promise that he would look for her, she reluctantly pressed a wallet sized photo into his hand and allowed herself to be led away.
The request was soon joined by two more and once he had descriptions and names, he set back out to look for the survivors.
