later on;
Heather had not been having fun. From the moment all of this had started, she'd sat off to one side, arms encircled around her knees as they were drawn up toward her chest. She hadn't moved, not once. A stern sort of expression had been practically sewn onto her face, determined not to say anything that would dissuade Sam from doing what he needed to do. She was only there to offer silent support, not to interrupt or get in the way. But as time wore on, it was harder and harder to do so. It was more difficult every time Sam turned away from the demon and had to start all over. It was more difficult as said demon tore into the Winchester family as a whole, John, Sam, Dean, in turn. And it really became almost painfully difficult when Ruby's voice left John's mouth, repeating those same words that she'd heard during Uriel's visit. No, she didn't have to see it this time, but hearing it was just as bad, in her opinion.
Expression souring, she bit down on the inside of her bottom lip, immediately tasting the metallic flavor of her own blood.
Just as she was about to snap, let go of the anger and irritation she was feeling all of a sudden, Ruby approached Sam and Heather caught wind of her words. If the sex stuff wasn't enough to piss her off, that definitely was.
"I'm not going anywhere," Heather stated firmly, pushing herself up to her feet. "I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd rather stay." She glanced around, then looked back to Ruby. "You two don't have to be alone to get this done."
It was obvious that the demon's audio replay had gotten under her skin.
