Anya remained focused where she was, kneeling in the middle of a circle as she continued to prepare for the Summoning, focusing her mind. The Ethros, as a breed, could be stubborn bastards and she wanted to be ready. As such she forced the background chatter out of her mind as she meditated.
Faith watched her for a while, standing back with her arms folded. She kept her various weapons concealed and inwardly prayed she wouldn't need to use them, even as her gaze flicked nervously back in John's direction.
She didn't miss the exchange between Dean and his father as her concern grew.
"You don't have to do this," she reminded him in a low voice. "You want me to do it, just say."
Sam would get over it. She wished he would realize that she really didn't blame him for her previous death and that fact that he used that as his logic behind his choice frankly annoyed her. Still, ultimately it was his choice and even if she didn't like it there was nothing she could do.
Ruby was clearly irritated and as much as Faith liked the demon she wasn't about to apologize for her presence or try to justify it. She was a Slayer, they were summoning a demon, she needed to be there.
