It wasn't uncommon for her to be roaming the streets at night, after all things were different here. John really didn't need her, not like the others did. He had a girlfriend, or at least what she assumed was a girlfriend, a nice girl who Cameron had to pretend to be John's sister again around. This one was different from Riley. This one wasn't hiding things. But John still brought danger into her life.
It was late and most people were asleep, but she didn't need to sleep. So instead she wandered the streets for no real purpose other than it was something to fill the hours. It seemed pointless to her to guard over John from an enemy that wasn't even here.
There was a noise from the alley next to her though that caught her attention, a woman's high pitched scream of fear. Cameron stepped into the alley and took in the scene quickly, almost immediately moving to the most threatening of the two vampires, the one holding onto the woman. Cameron simply grabbed him off the woman, her grip too tight for him to escape from and ripped off his head with one of her bare hands, effectively turning the thing to nothing more than a pile of ash. The woman screamed again and Cameron looked at her. "Please remain calm," she advised the woman who did no such thing, instead she ran screaming from the alley. "You are welcome!" Cameron yelled after her.
The other vampire in the alley rushed at her, catching her off guard in the moment and pushed her against the wall of building. Cameron frowned as she felt the side of her jacket catch a loose brick and rip. "You ruined my jacket," she stated and turned to kick the vampire's stomach, sending him ramming into the building across the alley. She pulled a stake from her back pocket, she always carried one after dark now, there were no other terminators save the other sent to protect John but there were vampires and it was good to be prepared. Cameron easily evaded his next lunge at her and planted the stake deep into the vampire's chest.
She repocketed the stake and headed out of the alley, glancing down at the tear in her jacket. "Stupid vampire," she spoke plainly, her mostly monotone voice lacking the inflection needed to make the statement sound sarcastic.
