Who: Sam Oliver and Open
What: Successful soul catching.
When: Afternoon
Where: LA Streets
Rating: TBD?
There were times when after a good round of soul catching, Sam would look down at the newly filled vessel and feel the tiniest sense of accomplishment and pride. Both were things he usually tried to squash, because he liked normality and using vessels 'forged in the depths of hell' (it was a tea kettle today which had, even after capturing the soul, failed to convince Sam of its forged in the depths of hell evilness) and telekinesis of an unknown origin to send escaped souls back to hell was definitely not normal. Granted, it was more normal here in Los Angeles than it had even been in the suburbs of Seattle, but he still didn't like it. He resented it more when he started feeling pride and accomplishment going along with it. His world view was a bit skewed, sure, but he knew you weren't supposed to be proud of working for the devil.
But it was a rare day when Sam got away from a soul catching without a scratch and on the days it did happen he was inevitably in a good mood for the next few hours and maybe a little pleased with himself. It didn't really matter in the long run. Pride or not, he was going to Hell.
Bending over, Sam unzipped his backpack and stuffed the teakettle inside both because it was weird to walk through Los Angeles carrying a teakettle, and because since sucking in the soul it hadn't stopped whistling. The plan was to drop it at the Lux before going home and playing about six hours worth of X-Box. Give the relative suckfest that his life was, Sam didn't really feel like that was asking for too much.
