Lucifer arched a brow. Seals? No. In his version of reality, there had been no seals. And as similar as the angels and demons and devils (current and former) were through all those facets of reality, there were still the occasional places where this one did not reflect that one. A different reality for every choice, causing an infinity of options, some different enough to be a whole new world, and others so slight that it might take years to uncover even the most clear alterations.
There had been times, back in those early days when the Silver City was all there was, that he had walked in the Dark, in that void beyond the City, in the vast nothingness outside of Creation. From the Dark, be could see the facets, each one, chipping away and splintering into new worlds, new realities, as each decision was made. That had been when the Creation was still young, and the multitudes of it could be seen in a single glance. These days, Lucifer didn't know how many there were. Perhaps Yahweh or Elaine could glimpse them all, count them, know them, but Lucifer had no desire to do so. His interest was his own, and what occurred in other multiverses was trivial.
"Is it so surprising?" His voice was flat, the edge containing either amusement or boredom, it was difficult to tell which. Lucifer looked at her, at the body she was inhabiting. "Or did you believe I could be contained in such a manner?"
