The room was much larger than it had any rights to be, not for the shape and size of the building that housed it. Bookshelves lined the walls on either side. The furniture was all carved of blackwood, expensive and elegant, trimmed in rich velvet that oozed luxury and comfort. The desk at the far end was bare, save for a single lit candle, a bottle of wine, and a glass. The second glass was in Lucifer's hand. He stood behind the desk, half-turned towards the large window that overlooked the city, turning his gaze back as she entered the room.
"An excellent vintage," he said, a flicker of his eyes indicating the bottle on the desk. "This may be your last opportunity to try it. There are only four bottles remaining in the world."
