She said she'd been hiding, unfortunately most of the hiding tricks she had kept her moving most of the time, staying in one spot wasn't overly the best idea. But as she was walking down another unfamiliar street, a noise behind her told her that moving probably wasn't the best idea either. If she thought the demon population at home had been bad, it was nothing compared to this place. A pause, and she looked over her shoulder. This would be twice now. Word was out.
Anna almost groaned as her pace broke into a full on run. She had been told to call for help if needed, but she wasn't going to unless she had to. It was different, when she didn't know who she was. But she was determined to hide on her own while she had to. Anna raced down the streets, from two buildings came two demons, large, curled horns coming out of their head. How did world travel so fast?
Down a side ally, running through a large puddle that caused the bottom of her jeans to be soaked. She ducked as she heard someone catching up to her, dodging a swing. The second swing got her, and she found herself pinned against a wall, a mouth full of teeth in her face. A scream escaped her as she cringed. At the same time, another large garbage dumpster blew up from against the and slammed into the creature. Those things were really saving her since she got here.
Not pausing, she kept on running, jumping over the leg of one the creatures and she kept on going. She wasn't sure how far the other were behind her, but the first building she came to with lights on, she went for. Straight through the door, Anna spun and stepped backward. She watched the doors for a moment, waiting for something to come through. After a pause, she relaxed, the feeling was gone. They were gone. Was she safe?
Looking over her shoulder, she turned to see her surroundings. A bar. Wow, nice choice. Sighing, she made her way toward the bar counter top, not evening noticing the necklace that held her Grace had fallen free and was hanging around her neck. Having demons trying to kill her was started to feel old.
