She had an edge to her voice at first, one that made it seem like she was going to snap all over again, but she didn't. "But that's not the point. Fact is, Faith had that sword and did nothing with it. I had two swords and trying to get people together to plan something out was a bust, so I wasn't waiting anymore. That's it, that's the end of it."
Sure, there was more to it than that. Spike knew it, she knew it, but it was all pointless and senseless to even discuss. It wouldn't make any difference.
Buffy hissed a little when the disinfectant touched her open wound, but otherwise, she didn't really react. Instead, she gritted her teeth against the sharp twinges and stuck it out.
