"Lucky for me. For you. ...Whatever." She was pretty much beyond words right now. She'd ranted and raved and now her throat just didn't want to make very many words now. She really, really wanted to be left alone, even by Spike, but she didn't have a choice. She just didn't want to have to look into anyone's eyes and see disappointment or judgment in them. She knew Spike was different than everyone else, but she could see a spark of some concerned emotion in him. He made more of an attempt to hide that, though, knowing how she'd feel about it.
She followed him without a single bounce in her step, her feet slapping against the ground with a lot less force than usual. He was practically dragging her, after all.
