No limo rides this time, no drivers. Lana was taking one of Lex's many expensive cars, but she wasn't taking the care she normally would. She was going to get to Jack as fast as she possibly could, even breaking some laws in the process. He'd labeled her Mom and that's just what she felt like right now, a mom worried her son was going to hurt himself or someone else, or get into some kind of trouble he couldn't get himself out of. She was afraid he would use his powers in front of someone and they would start to connect the dots and link him to the ghost robberies. Sure this was LA, and there might be others in the city who could do that, but her mind wasn't going there. All she could think about was Jack going to jail, where she knew he didn't belong, especially not now.
She skid to a halt when she arrived and ran as fast as she could toward the place she saw her boyfriend standing. "He's not hurt, is he?" Her worry and fear for Jack's safety was more than apparent. Just a couple of days ago she thought she was pregnant. She wasn't, but this whole situation didn't add any confidence in her future mothering skills. If she and Bart ever had a child, that child would more than likely inherit their father's powers, and if this was how she was handling it? What kind of mother would she be?
