"It's a long story." she said with a shake of her head, and she didn't really want to have to tell him if she could avoid it. "Just trust me when I say, secret identities don't count for much around here, and it won't be long for people to piece things together." of course, the majority of the people had no idea how May and Ben Parker version 2.0 were, they aways though of their Dad's aunt and Uncle, and no one even though that Ben could be named for the other Uncle Ben. But there were some quite a few fans who read Spider-Girl as well, and knew who they both were. Kids would piece it together eventually.
She laughed, shaking her head. "Doctor Strange isn't here. And no, but there are people here that could rival Doctor Strange. I'm serious. You, me, Dad, all pulled here by some kind of High Power. It's stupid." she said with a sigh as she led them past the last step and turned to the corner to go to her room. "I don't know how much Dad told you. But there's a war. And everyone who is here was brought to fight in that War. This place is scary, Ben." it had almost killed her once, but because she lived in the Hyperion, and because she healed faster, she made it out alive.
When she reached her door she pushed it open motioning him inside, and propping the door open. "That's because of Mom." she said glumly. "She was here, like you know. But they had just become engaged. Planning the wedding, were buying baby stuff, that sort of thing. They were about to start their lives together, as mushy as that sounds, and then she was sent back." or she was pretty sure she was sent back. May refused to believe that anything else had happened to her mother. "He's been depressed ever since. I've hardly seen him." she was worried about their Dad, but he was also a lot younger than the one they knew, almost her age. Trying to be there for him seemed like pushing herself on him, and she didn't think it would work well.
