She only looked up she felt another body slipping into the pew She sat in. She'd been the only one there and had slipped in only to sit just before Mass began. She didn't actually want to be there for it. The mortals could have their day and all that, without her interference, even if it was just sitting there. She'd even stopped the plagues for Christmas.
She ran Her fingers across the wood of the pew in front of Her before She looked up, canting her head in Jo's direction and studying her carefully. She didn't have to do a thing to know who the girl was, or who she knew. And here people thought that church was meant to be a peaceful place.
She sighed and continued staring at her, well aware that she just looked like some snot nosed kid waiting for the annual Christmas Pageant to begin. The white angel's robe She'd donned was itchy, and she thought the halo over her head was crooked, but she looked like every other kid running in and out of the sanctuary. She just didn't have parents.
"Do you like the stained glass?" She finally said, deciding to make conversation. She pointed to the one right in the center above the pulpit. It featured Jesus on the cross and the Holy Mother. "It kind of scares me."
