He raised a brow. "I don't have anything to prove to anyone. If I wanted anyone else, I'd have them, I think you know that. The question is, why are you questioning it, it's almost as if you're resisting it, wanting something to be wrong. Selene, there's not some grand scheme behind everything. Some things you need to take at face value for what they are. I want to marry you, because I want to marry you. That's all it is. No more, no less."
His hand caressed her cheek softly, his thumb brushing over her pale lips. Of all the women Logan had ever been with, none of them looked like Selene. Strange thing was if he had a type, she certainly wasn't it by a long shot, at least looks wise. And with the memories she had of his, she probably knew that. He was attracted to her soul, her spirit. The things that made her who she was. Didn't make her not beautiful, it just made her beauty not the most important thing on the list. He could see himself with her, and that was what he needed. Stability. Unconditional love. And not many could or would offer that. There were always stipulations and ultimatums. Not with her. Everything with Selene just was precisely that, everything.
"Now, I'm gonna ask you again. I don't want any questions, any doubts or anything extra, except for an answer. Don't wanna see any questions or doubt in your eyes either." His hazel eyes gazed deeply into her nearly black ones, with as much sincerity and honesty as he could muster. "Will you marry me?"
