This whole staying put was killing her, she had to go help others. Granted, the librarian wanted to kill her because Rikku had taken apart all of the computers except one and built a machina that could help her. Along with a few other things, she'd used some of her bombs and so on. She stood up carefully after she'd finished the work, spoke softly in Al-Bhed to her little machina, and headed out. It followed her shortly there after, following her like a lost puppy almost. Rikku had designed it so it would answer to her voice...and to one other voice that she programed it to answer to.
She kept a stone bomb in her hand, continuing to walk along. Reaching out, she touched a child's arm gently with her free hand. "The library's safe, go." When the girl looked at her, Rikku gave a small smile until the girl's face changed and a few other vampires stepped out. Oh shit, she flipped the bomb up and tossed it, causing several of them to turn to stone. Yay for her, now all she had to deal with was the little girl.
Pulling out another bomb, she tossed it at the girl and when it exploded, not only did the little girl explode into dust, but the stone vampires had also exploded. They weren't coming back from that one. She continued on her way, sending the machina out to search for survivors. To search for people who were normal. Now that it knew what the vampires looked like, it could fight them as well.
She had promised Adam she'd stay in the library, but the screams, all of it, it was killing her not to be out here helping people. Maybe if she was lucky he wouldn't find her, and then proceed to throttle her when it was all said and done. Laughter to her direct left caused her to glance over as a few women pushed a man about, her hands clenched and she moved over, grabbed a hold of the man's arm and jerked him behind her. "Stay put..and don't move." She muttered to him. "And don't hold onto me." As the female's faces changed, Rikku gave them her politest Al-Bhed trickster smile, and pulled out an artic wind, tossing it at them. Fire gem came next. "Now run!" She told him, she saw more of them coming up the alleyway and turned to look at the guy. Oh God, how could she be such an idea? He was one of them too.
Backed into a corner with no where to go, Rikku just continued to pull bits and pieces of her arsenel out, now and again sending a few kicks into the stomachs of those who got just a little too close for her own comfort.
