Nathan's attention turned to Bela briefly at the remark, releasing Peter only because Faith was there seeking a hug. "I'm a lawyer, fun for us involves covering our asses as many ways as possible," he said, amusement there for a moment. If this had been her idea of fun in any sense, she was as crazy as the rest of them were in their own ways. Besides, while the others knew the Kevlar was for the sanity of those in the hotel as much as protection, he didn't need to admit that.
Not breaking the hugging going on as he turned back to the others, Nathan simply squeezed Peter's arm to get his attention. "Let's get your head cleared up some," he said, digging inside the vest for a syringe. They'd all been carrying things to counter sedatives, so any of them could act if they were the closest and had the time. He held up the syringe for Peter to see, then held out his hand, waiting for Peter to give him his arm voluntarily. After everything, Nathan wasn't about to go plunging needles into Peter without his attention fully on the fact, especially with his brother so drugged. "Gabe figured out which were best to counter what they gave you."
He'd get Peter back into some slightly more coherent shaped, they'd get everyone inside and then he'd give in to the urge and latch on to his brother.
