Her enjoyment of self-preservation aside, Bela was already quickly hurrying down the stairs. It was going to be worse going down than it would be staying to fight the remains, and she trusted Faith to take care of them. Her guns were going to do better helping Nathan and Peter.
"Watch your right!" she shouted down as she leaned against the railing nearly to the point of falling over. Bela took two seconds to aim before firing off two bullets that zinged past Nathan's head and embedded themselves in someone else's. She felt a push from behind and nearly lost her balance before kicking back and catching a, thankfully, human guard in the gut. She turned and grabbed him, but he punched her, adding to the bruises on her jaw, before successfully shoving her over the railing.
Fuck, this is not how I intended to get down. The fall was relatively short and Bela landed on her side, right in a thick of security and Petrellis. The pain she felt in her rib cage wasn't enough to keep her from grabbing at another gun and firing upwards before scrambling back up to her feet.
These people were supposed to have varied powers and abilities. Bela couldn't help but thinking that now was the time to show off. There were six more floors of this mess and while Bela was knew that the security sent could have been worse, she did not appreciate being pushed off stairs and shot at by her employers.
