"'Prague'?" Tony repeated back, a little surprised. And he picked up an English accent and he didn't know how? Very strange. Tony would have liked to probe further but something in the man's behavior told the doctor that the subject of his past was not something he wanted to talk about. Tony could understand that and so left it be.
His eyebrows shot up at the explanation he was given. "Vampires?! You're the second person to tell me something like that since I arrived. They don't-," and he stopped himself. He had seen with his own eyes the creature become nothing more than a cloud of dust. Rational thinking told him none of this was possible but how could he reconcile that with what he had witnessed?
He took a few cautious steps back from Jared at the revelation that he was also a vampire. Tony got the feeling that this man meant him no harm but still the fear of the unknown was strong.
"I was getting that feeling myself," he replied to Jared's assessment that this was not a very safe place. Clearing his throat he approached Jared again. "I would very much appreciate the company seeing as you know how to deal with these things and I do not."
Tony could walk home, alone, taking his chances that he wouldn't run into another... vampire... or he could accept the help from this man who identified himself as a vampire but seemed to mean him no harm. Either way, he was taking a chance.
