Isabella "Bella" Marie Cullen (nee. Swan) (bellsm) wrote in parabolical,
There was no doubt in her mind which one of the children was Nessie. She was different from them all. While others were running around, crying, or banging things together, she sat still, well behaved. Edward's hair color, with her own fathers curls. Bella's old eyes, and the same, pale skin, but with the hint of blush, on a face that was obviously from Edward. She was beautiful. She was perfect. She had to be theirs. Bella wasn't even sure she had any way to describe it. Wide eyed, she looked from Nessie, then to Edward.
Still slightly stunned, she began to walk forward, tugging Edward forward with her to go toward the girl who was supposed to be her child. She wasn't sure if she was amused that Nessie was holding a stuffed wolf, but the whole thing wasn't lost to her. Why had she been with Jacob, anyway? Not that it mattered. Approaching her, Bella's eyes flashed to the librarian who was now looking at them as they approached Nessie. She offered the woman a dazzling smile, before looking back at the girl now before her.
"Nessie?" Bella asked gently, finding herself crouching down to put herself on more eye to eye level with the child. What did you say to a child you had yet to give birth to? She found herself lost for words. If only because she was having a hard time getting over the very sight of her. A little Angel among all the humans, how they could think of her as anything less was beyond Bella. She had to be theirs, it was something she wanted more than anything now. Someone that was part of her human self, part Edward, and completely unique at the same time.
