Bella had probably never moved so fast in her life. She had left the computer, and moved as quickly as she could to the car with Edward, going straight to the passengers side, and sliding into the seat as the car was unlocked. She could hardly make herself believe what they were doing. According to Alice, Nessie was really theirs. How it was possible, she didn't know. It shouldn't be possible, but she was waiting for them.
It was still day time, sunny. Tinted windows rolled up, she looked to Edward as the car was started and they tore off. They had a daughter. When she went back, she could possibly become pregnant. She already knew, even though she had yet to meet the girl, that she wanted that to be true, more than anything. Turning her head to look out the front window, she became still, lost in her own thoughts as they made their way to the library. The sun was a pain, but part of her right now didn't even care if they went in the front way and threw lights like disco balls for everyone to see. It wasn't like it would have been the strangest thing this city had seen.
She was so caught up in the thought of who was waiting for them, she hardly noticed the pace Edward chose to drive at. What normally would have made her yell at him to slow down didn't really register. Or if it did, she just didn't care.
