Not a part of her body didn't ache, and she was sure that if she ever got out of here they would always be sore. Her eyes closed, she breathed softly, wincing as even that simple necessity shot pain through her body. Her body began to tense, and she was pretty sure her ribs were bruised, and was guessing one was broken. With the pain, it would seem plausible. Her left arm lay limp, since it was broken they didn't see the need to keep that arm chained up. After all, she couldn't do anything with her arm broken, and she didn't want to risk worse damage trying to find a way out. Her other arm and her legs, however, stayed chained to the bed, her skin rubbed raw and bleeding with how tightly they were digging into her skin.
Opening her eyes slowly she glanced around, taking in the grey walls which she was positive were a lot more cheerful years ago. It was always silent in the room, except when she was visited by...them. The room was so high up and at the back of the house, it was far away from the noise of the streets. She had found herself constantly going into fantasies, imagining this place as a family home. Music in the background, distant sounds of children. And...
She shook her head, ignoring the pain she felt as a small wound on her neck threatened to break once more, and it had only just started to heal. It was the same with all the other wounds she had, various slashes to her face, stomach and legs. If she moved too much, they would open, and she would be left in the blood. One thing she didn't want.
She swallowed, trying to get some moisture in her dry and sore throat, and she knew if she tried to speak all that would come out would be a whisper. She didn't know how long she had been here, but she knew she had shouted the entire time, screamed so loudly. Her throat felt like sand paper and she was beginning to give up. If she was left here much longer, she was positive she'd stop fighting the darkness and give in.
