He hadn't meant to pull the young huntress along. He wanted to call. But...just yeah. How was he going to explain to Jo if she'd heard rumors of some idiot hunters who'd open the gates to hell? How would he explain that he was one of the idiot hunters. Possibly even the main idiot because that hole he was digging himself into was getting deeper and deeper until he was pretty sure that this was as far as his life would ever permit. That seeing Jo was only going to end up teasing him in the end. "No...I didn't. But one could hope, huh?" He smiled a tiny bit, glancing over to the blonde as much as he could.
He made sure he could move his neck before glancing down at the hands that had been on his chest for what seemed to be forever. When in reality the split seconds were something Dean wouldn't be able to depart from for probably the rest of this little adventure. He knew what he wanted...to live. To not leave Sam behind. To actually be someone other than the soldier John had created. It was just a matter of time before he actually voiced his opinions. Time and probably a forty.
"Thanks..." He offered a small grin as he glanced around the empty alley way before resting a hand on the makeshift bandage. Jubilee was going to kill his ass. She'd made such a big deal of him going off on his own. That this? Was going to be something they'd probably argue over and she'd try tying him to a chair afterwards. Not that Dean would stand for it. But it just made him think that people actually did care. Though those green eyes blinked a bit at the suspicious look in Jo's eyes. That question was something he didn't expect right at the moment.
"Well, I just didn't expect one Harvelle without the other lurking about. Especially with what's been going on." The war. The Roadhouse going up in flames. He'd figure but mother and daughter would be together during this. Being all familylike and whatnot. Just like him and Sammy.
