"That wasn't what I meant," she half-pouted, pulling the lid off her own food. She poked at it with a fork, studying the contents as they moved about in the container, before trying a small bite. It actually turned out to be pretty good. Her next bite followed quickly before she cut her gaze back to the man beside her.
"Thank you," she murmured. Good manners dictated she offer thanks, for the meal. She still wasn't entirely convinced he wasn't a little crazy, though. He may not seem it, but she knew all too well how looks could be deceiving.
Another bite of food, with her idly wishing she had something to drink to go with it, and Rogue tried again. "Why are you takin' such an interest in me?" Her eyes were slightly widened, face framed by the trademark silvery-white streaks. She wondered if he was only doing this because she was so well known. She honestly wasn't sure how she'd feel about that.
