Sarah & Toby; sister/brother dance :D
All siblings had several 'things', memories or running jokes or stuff that was theirs, and one of Sarah and Toby's happened to be James Taylor music. It was something Sarah had stumbled on accidentally, a way that then-baby, post-wish Toby would settle down easier when cranky or sick if James Taylor was on the radio. When she sang along, she had been assured a hit, which had sometimes made her make a face and wonder why it had taken that long to discover when it would have been so hand before.
"How Sweet It Is" had been a popular one to sing until he had grown old enough to understand the lyrics with a little boy's derision for gushy songs, but there had been one that stood the test of time, that was pretty much 'their song' and it was the one that started as Sarah swept onto the floor and look around for Toby to join her. He had walked her down the aisle and now this dance was his – and would have been his even had she had a father or father-figure here to have done that duty. Her feet were unashamedly bare, her shoes discarded to lessen the height difference. It was the first time she had been more than an arms-length from Peter since this afternoon and she knew if this wasn't a dance with Toby, he likely wouldn't have let her go. Not that she would have expected him to, of course.
Hitting the middle of the floor with still no sight of her brother, the DJ called Toby to the floor with a touch of humor about getting his dance before the groom revoked the privilege that sent a ripple of laughter through the crowd and made Sarah grin wider.
