Once the ring was settled on his finger, there was an odd sort of sensation. The initial thought was that it was on par with a full-body sneeze. Or maybe just that tickle you get in your nose just before you sneeze, only throughout his entire body. The tingle swept through him, fading just as Sarah gasped over the change to her bracelet.
Peter looked up and caught the questioning look in her eyes. He smiled, and shifted his hand, his fingertips resting on the ones she was using to trace the letters. "The day I started to live again," he said. His voice was whisper soft, nearly trembling with the depth of his emotion. "The day I fell for you. When I knew I needed you in my life." His fingers settled against her hand. "You complete me, Sarah. Today just makes it official."
