"Christmas?" Susan asked with an amused curiosity before turning to Rose with a broad grin. "He actually had a sit down dinner with your family? Well, well, you certainly must be something special," She said, turning to Rose. "He doesn't usually do domestic, any kind."
Her question, however, blossomed a smile on Susan's face as she shook her head, "Oh, no. Technically, we're supposed to pass a series of tests in order to qualify as a Time Lord and prove that we has the skill to pilot a TARDIS. But the High Council was kind enough to decide to look the other way since I never did take the tests to qualify. Simple enough, since Grandfather never managed to pass them," She said, beaming over at him. "Like Grandfather, like granddaughter."
Spearing another piece of chicken, Susan grinned up at the three of them, "I wouldn't doubt if it was some kind of experiment. Though, I wouldn't think LA would be the place to stick us. How would they possibly keep track of the lot of us in this crowd?"
