They'd spent two days in a hotel room after the impromptu wedding, she thought that had been their honeymoon. Then after that she'd gone out the next couple of nights hunting. She'd spent far too much time at home and needed to get out. She and Hannibal weren't the type of couple that needed to spend every moment together. No, they had their space, their time alone. That's why they worked, balance.
So when she got a text message from him while she was out staking out a possible vampire haunt they could look into later she raised a brow. "Warm weather huh?"
It was nearly three when she got the message and she rushed back to the firehouse. It took her twenty minutes to get there and she started throwing all her clothes that weren't jeans and pj's in a bag and went outside to wait. Fifteen minutes later a car pulled up. She'd changed, wearing a pair of shorts, her hair pulled back and one of his wifebeaters she'd tied. On her feet she wore flip flops, something she never wore, only had one pair of.
She got in the car and sat back, wondering what he was up to. It wasn't long before she arrived at her destination and she got out, slinging the bag over her shoulder. She raised a brow, this was a surprise. Then again their first date had been surfing. Made her wonder what he was up to.
"Hannibal?" Sh started walking towards the sand, looking all around. "Hannibal King, where are you?"
Abby chewed her bottom lip as she looked around for him. It suddenly crept up on her, maybe this had been a trick and a little fear crept in.
