"That sounds familiar. It's a lot easier when the only person you've got to worry about is yourself and everyone else be damned." Lindsey picked up the bottle and took a swig. "But what else can you do when you've tried to talk to them and they won't listen?"
He picked up one of the caps that had come off the bottles and flicked it a few inches into the air, catching it. "I'm all for recommending the school of hard knocks. We turned out well enough."
