Oh no. She was crying again. He moved to reach for her, but the space between them in the car wasn't going to help him get a hold on her. Looking at the storage area with an air of annoyance, Sam shoved his door open and walked back around to her side of the car. He yanked her door open, reached down, took her by the hand, and carefully pulled her from the vehicle. Then he pulled her back into his arms, just like before. Except for this time he held her. He didn't intend on letting go anytime soon.
"No," he said, his voice stern. "I'm sorry. You've been through hell and back and I'm just making it worse."
