By the time Alice received the text, she was already close to the apartment, dismayed by having missed this vision but still readjusting to the overwhelming influx of the future due to the size and the biological make-up of the city. But it couldn't be stopped now, the girl was dead. The only thing she could do right now was comfort Bella.
With that inhuman speed, she moved from outside to the upstairs quickly to find Bella just how she had seen her. Alice didn't remember what it was like for a human to cry, but she did know what it felt like to be gripped by emotions so great that the feelings felt trapped in their durable bodies, unable to be released in the damp explosion of a reaction like humans could utilize.
Still not breathing because of the body, a habit she had mastered when it came to Bella's former accident-prone problems, Alice dropped to the floor next to her. Lightening swift, she had enveloped her sister in a tight hug, small stature no sign of the true strength of her small, thin arms, but she no longer had to be hyperaware of the pressure she exerted with even the smallest touch, back when Bella had been so breakable. It was nice to be able to hug Bella properly, but it would have been nicer if it wasn't for this reason.
One arm around Bella, she stroked Bella's hair with her other hand, the touch gentle for their kind, and half-murmured, half-sung the sort of soothing nonsense she always imagined people preferred when distressed. She had never really understood why, as the words rarely made sense, but perhaps it was mostly about being there and proving that presence by softly said things.
[ooc: ALICE DEMANDED THIS TAG. If you want to leave it as a complete narrative, they don't have to thread at all or thread far, but she insisted.]
