Allana didn't bother to tell him that it wasn't his fault he hadn't been there. It was his fault, after all, at least partially. Just because she wasn't as bitter toward him as she'd been in her teenage years didn't mean the facts had changed any.
Blinking a bit at his next statement, her amused smirk returned as she turned her head to look at him. "I saw little point in keeping my alias once I took the throne," she explained simply enough. "The name was given to me to keep people from realizing who I truly was. Embracing my heritage was, obviously, the direct opposite."
She paused for a moment, suddenly realizing why he would have made such a statement to begin with. "And I'm assuming that the version of me you've had the misfortune of meeting insists quite audibly that her name is Amelia and she is not Allana Djo, correct?"
