Thus began the awkward questions that Willow wasn't entirely sure how to answer. So rather than immediately tell her where she'd trained, the redhead instead replied, "Oh, definitely. I can't really center my magic through such a small source. I have to usually rely on everything around me in order to keep from getting a little... wonky."
Then, there was no ignoring the question any longer. Willow gave another shrug while she collected her thoughts. Finally, she answered, "As for the training. I, um, kinda wasn't. Not really. Oh!" She perked up slightly. "Though I did do a bit of studying with a really small coven just outside London."
The perkiness faded as she went back to her normal expression. "Other than that, though, I just taught myself, mostly. My first spell was actually an old Romanian gypsy curse. After that, I started with levitating pencils. You know, the easy kind of stuff."
Willow almost looked, for a moment, as though she was lost in thought as she mused, "Of course, the fact that I grew up on a Hellmouth probably added to the fact that magic wasn't hard to use. Hmm. I wonder if Giles ever thought about that when trying to figure out..."
As though realizing Tonks was still present, she blinked then flushed a little. "Sorry. I had a thought. It's gone, now."
