At the mention of a wand--or Willow's (obviously another witch) apparent lack thereof, Tonks's head tilted to the side in apparent confusion. Sure, she had somehow lost eight years worth of time, but it was impossible that wands (having been in existence for thousands of years) had since become outdated. The only option that seemed remotely plausible was that Willow was far more powerful than...well, she couldn't think of any examples at the moment. Everyone used wands. Dumbledore, even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named...the founders of Hogwarts themselves.
Fascinated, she leaned closer, propping her elbows up on the counter. "You mean to tell me you've never needed to use a wand? Forgive me, but--...how?"
Tonks didn't mean to make Willow uncomfortable, but she had likely never been so damned curious in all of her life!
