Sam kept himself quiet upon his father's approach. It wasn't unexpected for him to start pulling out the maps and brainstorms; even now, when Sam was fully aware of the fact that he was on the verge of pouncing into the premises without taking the time to actually listen to anything that his Dad had to say about the matter. He didn't need to listen. Sam knew what he was doing. He knew where he was going and he knew what needed to be done. But people like John Winchester were, unfortunately, born to make his life all that much more difficult. So now Sam had to think of a way to make sure that they were all guaranteed their own personal mission so that Sam could get the job done without anyone breathing down his neck.
Hearing Dean swear, Sam rolled his eyes in a gesture that was more sympathetic toward him than mocking. Then he turned his eyes onto the paper that John had laid out for them. He'd scoured the area himself prior to settling down here. Sure, Sam hadn't gone into detail quite like his father had, but he had figured enough of the area to at least assume that there were a good number of demons mounted inside. That was all that mattered, right?
...maybe. But then again, the map wouldn't be such a terrible idea in the long run. At least they'd know where in the hell they were going.
"Dean's right," Sam agreed, "they'd probably be there. I don't think we can figure a direct location for Lilith, but I think it's more than expected for her to have more than enough of her friends guarding the area. Which means that if we're gonna get inside, we're gonna need more than one person working on the infiltration." He pointed off to various corners of the paper. "Faith and Ruby can work together to get into that area there." He circled a far corner with his finger, then moved it to the right and tapped at the paper. "They can probably push a few demons back into that corner and take care of them. Which leaves these two areas here." He gestured to the other sections. "Dean? I think you should take that. Maybe have Bobby go with you. That leaves the other section." Sam glanced up at John. "Think you can handle that on your own?"
Sam failed to mention any activity involving himself. That, however, was entirely done on purpose.
