Was he serious? Here she was, talking about them, and he was bringing up history? Her annoyance reaching an entirely new level, she very nearly rose to her feet and simply walked away without another word. The last thing she needed, or wanted, was a lecture on right vs. wrong from him.
Yet she stayed seated. She wasn't sure why, exactly. Perhaps it was because she didn't want to just leave and give him the satisfaction of knowing he'd gotten to her. Or perhaps some part of her refused to allow him to 'win' this argument. Whatever the reason, she stayed right where she was and wasted very little time in replying.
"See, and you burning villages would be perfectly fine," she stated coolly. "If you weren't sleeping with the head of the fire department!" A frustrated sigh and she sat back in her chair, her attention turning to a couple seated not too far away. The man was staring, and Cordelia shot him a glare, causing him to quickly look back to the woman he was with. With a roll of her eyes, she turned back to Caedus.
"You knew who I was. You knew what I stand for. You knew a hell of a lot more about me than I ever knew about you. And now I find out, from your ex no less, that you're a freaking bad guy! So, you can save your history lesson, and your infuriatingly valid points, because the fact of the matter is it's just a matter of time before you're starring in the visions in my head and my only purpose at that point is going to be to see you destroyed."
