All of too true. Even with well-paid corporate minions too afraid to openly revolt, there were plots and maneuvers from various ambitious scheming factions that had to be addressed, put down, or otherwise re-directed. The curious part that all of it required mountains of paperwork, and he hated every minute he had to spend keeping his minions from destroying everything he was working toward. Never mind that it was all high-level paperwork and that it bored him to death. He winced. "I hated every minute of paperwork, however. If I thought I could get away with it, I would light a match and toss it into the pile every day."
He smiled at her again. "What about you? How was your day?"
