Mary Jane watched him, her gaze softening considerably when he reached for the bag and began describing it's contents. She loved seeing him like this, all paternal and everything. It made her even more excited to have this baby out in the world, to be a mother and for him to be a father. It was still a ways to go, even if the pregnancy process was sped up here, and she couldn't wait.
Flipping through the book for a moment, she looked up at Peter again at the sound of the rattle. Immediately, she grinned once more, her expression brightening all over again.
"This is so amazing, Pete," she said, her voice, however, still gentle. "I mean...this stuff. It's for us. For our baby."
